it's ok, but it's not scrabble. August 8, 2010 tjwash (AUSTIN, TX, US) I like scrabble for it's relaxed pace, and mindfulness. And the time spent with the other player. This game is none of that, but not a total loss. It is fast paced, easy to travel with, and a lot quicker round of play. So, die hard scrabble lovers, may not love it. others will
Super for the kids! August 7, 2010 GrannyX7 Scrabble Slam is a great game for the kids. It doesn't take too long to play and it helps them think quickly and improves their spelling skills. I modified the rules a little so our 5 yr old grandson could play and compete. We took turns around the table, each adult got 10 seconds to make their word, each little kid 20. Either way you play, it's a lot of fun.
Good fun July 14, 2010 Pattyto (Ohio) A bit easier than scrabble but still very challenging, and when you play with kids it's very educational. It works even if you're bilingual and you can turn the "w" into another character. It's a fast game and fun.
family entertainment July 12, 2010 bk I got this for my kids as a stocking stuffer. We are big Scrabble fans. Unfortunately, the rules of the game are unclear and we just made them up as we went along. Besides, how many more 4 letter words can think of??!! We have'nt played since Chritmas.
Deserves a four letter word. July 9, 2010 Twisted Archer I'm not sure why this game has received so many good reviews. It doesn't really fit into any niche. Serious Scrabble players will hate this game. And for people who instead want a quick and very fun game, there are so, so many better options.
Instead, I would recommend games such as No Thanks!, Coloretto, For Sale, Slide 5, Bohnanza, Lost Cities, etc. All of these games are available online here at Amazon, but you won't see them in your local Wal-Mart.
Give some real games a try.
