Enjoyable Advent Calendar January 5, 2009 Laurence G. Byrne (New York, NY) We purchased this Advent Calendar for our ten-year-old son. This is the first year that he has been able to put all the toys together without help. All in all, it's a very nice toy with usual Lego quality.
Nice idea. January 2, 2009 razz murray (Western , Wisconsin United States) I bought two of these for my girls, so each could have their own to open during the month of December. I did like all the legos and my girls were thrilled to get these. I think next year I would only buy one and just alternate days between my two girls. It's a little pricey.
Great Fun December 31, 2008 J. Pruett (San Jose, CA USA) My three-year old loved this! He would come into our room every morning and say, "What door do we open today, Daddy?" The pattern seems to be opening one mini-figure on day 1, then the next 2-3 days opening parts of an accessory that completes the mini-figure. For example, one day we opened a Lego chef, then the following day a small table with pizzas, and the third day a brick oven for baking the pizzas. The only drawback: no Santa Claus figure! But we did get Frosty the Snowman.
Fun Advent Calendar! December 31, 2008 K. McKnight (Fairfax, VA USA) My sister turned me on to the Lego Advent Calendar. My son just turned 9 and LOVES to get this every year. It's a great pre-Xmas gift for any child who loves Legos. They have a lot of fun opening the windows every day to see what type of Lego goodie they get. I highly recommend it!
Not Christmas without it.... December 31, 2008 T. Coin I used to get advent calendars when I was a kid, you know the kind with the not so great tasting chocolates in them. We tried to start our son's tradition with those and that didn't go over so well. All hail to LEGO for this!! We love it! He loves it! It's somthing for the wee ones to OPEN and play with every day leading up to Christmas. Better than an old piece of chocolate!
