Fun teaching tool August 9, 2008 frisky2000 (smallville) My little ones adore this game. It comes with a real red and white checker table cloth, sturdy cardboard pieces and a spinner. The object is to be the first player to assemble a plate, utencils, and one piece of food from each category, namely a drink, one entree, piece of fruit, vegetable and dessert. The spinner contains a spot for each, plus one for "Ants" where landing on it means you have to give a piece back for that round. The game is fast moving and teaches children about taking turns, food groups, and healthy choices. The colorful, realistic pieces are adorable and hold up well to little hands. A must have for the under 6 set. Comes in a convenient and easy to stash small box.

We purchased this for a Christmas gift for a 3-year-old. It was a big hit! We are a big game family and have purchased other games for him (Candyland Castle, Memory, HighHo Cherry-O, Snail's Pace Race), but this is the first game that he has willingly taken turns AND sat through an entire game from beginning to end. I like that the game shows what a nice, balanced meal should look like (main dish, a veggie, a fruit, a beverage and a dessert). It is also fast paced enough for a preschooler. Our son likes to practice folding the cloth game board when we are finished. I recommend this to parents of preschoolers. I have looked at other eeBoo games, but they seem to be very similar to this one, so I'm not sure it would be necessary to buy more than one style.
It's adorable! August 3, 2007 S.Haden (Littleton, Colorado) My 3 year old & I got this game just yesterday and we had a great time playing last night..it's adorable..I think a 2 year old could also enjoy this game. I have already decided to buy at least 2 Picnic games for little friends this Christmas.
This one's a winner! June 23, 2007 R. Timm (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What a fantastic game we have stumbled across! It arrived in the mail today and all three of our children were drawn to it like bees to honey! This game is such high quality it will provide lots of enjoyment, especially on rainy days when a real out-of-doors picnic is impossible. The game pieces are extremely thick and I do believe they will even stand up to our two year old! The arm of the spinner I will keep out of her reach for now as it seems to be the only breakable part in the whole box. The colors are bright and inviting and there are several various suggestions for other types of play. Excellent product. I will most definitely keep this in mind for birthday presents in future!!!
eeBoo Picnic Game is lots of fun! June 1, 2007 Mrs.T (New England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this game for my granddaughter's fourth birthday and was a bit worried it would be too young for her. It wasn't! She and I and her six-year-old sister sat down and played it -- lots of fun. They loved the red-checked picnic tablecloth that serves as the game board. The playing pieces are beautiful and the game is easy to understand and play. I think the game serves an added purpose by showing kids what a well-balanced meal looks like. I plan to buy the Tea Party game later on for another granddaughter when she's old enough.
