1 out of 5 stars Piece of poo   June 14, 2010
Dominique M. Kramp
We bought these to use with my ipod on an airplane trip so my daughter could watch some shows. They are so quiet that she could not even hear them on the plane so we ended up not using them, they have been stored since and she just asked if she could listen to some music. Took them out and the left ear is already not working. These were a total waste of money and I have gotten ZERO use out of them. They got one star because they are cute and fit her well but what good is that when she can't hear the darn music?

1 out of 5 stars Poorly Designed   June 11, 2010
R. Dyer (Houston TX)
These headphones are poorly designed. The large blocky volume regulator is heavy and pulls/tugs at the headphones causing them to slip off when the kids move around. I know that some "testing lab" has determined what is a "safe/unsafe" volume level for children but come on! These headphones simply cannot be heard even in a quiet room with two adults having a normal conversation! Much less with a TV going or heaven forbid in a CAR! Back to Amazon go these. Anyone have another suggestion for a better pair for a 5 yr old?

5 out of 5 stars Grand kids love them   May 28, 2010
Shelley R. Morse
We bought two sets. One for our granddaughter and one for our grandson. They fit their ears well, and also keeps them from turning up the sound so loud it will hurt their eardrums. They wag them around wherever they go, and they still have great sound quality.

2 out of 5 stars Headphone volume is too soft   May 8, 2010
Madeleine's Mom (Massachusetts)
I bought these headphones for my 2 1/2 year old to use with our portable DVD player on a plane. I contemplated other headphone options, but figured the durability of Fisher Price products along with this saying they are for 3 year olds made this a better option for us.

Unfortunately the volume on these headphones is so low my daughter could barely hear anything on the plane. I had the DVD player volume all the way up. I know it wasn't my DVD player because I tried my ear buds, and they worked fine.

You're better off buying "real" headphones for a young child instead.

3 out of 5 stars Works okay (but not in the Leapster2)   April 9, 2010
Petra Riggs (Lewiston, ID USA)
We bought this headset for our 3 year old daughter so she could use it with her Leaspter2 and our iPod. It works fine in the iPod, although our daughter says it's not loud enough. In the Leapster2, however, it does not work well at all. The Leapster2's case is curved and the plug will not stay in far enough to keep the connection; it comes loose every time the Leapster2 is moved.
